The next NUX event is on Wednesday 7th October 2020. In light of government advice, this will be a virtual event, powered by Zoom.
Join us online from 6:00pm ready for the talk which will begin at 6:05pm.
Whatever role we do, it’s critical that we stay relevant. Continuous learning is a must. There’s very little allowance for our approach or knowledge to stagnate in UX. However, we all lead busy lives in a fast-paced society. Rarely is there a moment to stop and think. If we’re not jumping from one product release to another, we’re feeling the pressure of delivering high quality work, quickly. This can harm our long term success and impact.
However, reflective practice can help. By taking time out to think about our actions, we can learn from our experiences and use that knowledge to evolve our mindset.
During this talk, Imran will discuss what it means to reflect on our experiences and the impact of that process on our future. The talk will explore the benefits of taking time to reflect, while also providing guidance on introducing reflective practice into your work.
Imran is a UX Manager at Otto UK in Yorkshire and has a strong background in research, design and development. Over the past 13 years, he has worked with a wide range of teams and digital products. After establishing the UX team at Otto UK, Imran is now working hard to develop a user-centered design culture at the organisation.
Imran believes working in UX provides the opportunity to have a positive impact on society. He feels motivated to create inclusive products that harnesses the best of humanity and technology. Imran loves mentoring people, thinking about UX and spending time with his family.
