Privacy Policy

Northern User Experience is a volunteer-run community organisation, committed to building the UX community across the North of England through accessible, diverse, friendly events.

We only store your personal information to run these events, contact you about them, and to let you know when events are going to happen.

Mailing list

If you sign up to our mailing list, we’ll store your details so that we can contact you to let you know when events are going to happen. We’ll only contact you about the city meetups or event types that you’ve expressed an interest in.

Tickets for our events

If you order a free or paid ticket for a meetup, Conference, or Camp event, we store your details to run the event (things like printing name badges) and to communicate with you about the event (such as sending you tickets and letting you know of changes).

We delete all your personal information within one month of the event taking place. This one month gives us time to collect any statistics and meet our legal responsibilities.

If you want to stop getting emails

Every email we send you has an unsubscribe link that you can use if you don’t want to hear from us again. The mailing list and ticket system are separate, so you may have to unsubscribe twice.

Photographs

We take photographs at events and share these using social media platforms. If you attend one of our events you may be included in a photograph we take. If you see a photograph showing you that you want removed, email us as group@nuxuk.org.

If you want a copy of your personal data

Email us at group@nuxuk.org

Who we share your information with

We only share your information with 3rd parties for the two purposes (mailing list & event administration) listed above. These 3rd parties are ticketing websites, mailing list providers, and event administration support. They can only access your information in line with this policy.
