We are excited to host another NUX event, this time exploring behavioural and emotional design.
Emily and Mike will be sharing insights from designing in social care and using behavioural science to inform how we build products. Along with two great talks, we will also have networking and pizza!
Big thanks to Accenture for hosting us and Ideasmiths for sponsoring us. This in-person event promises to be a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals and gain valuable insights from industry experts. Whether you’re a seasoned UX designer or just starting your journey, this event is for you.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 6pm. Don’t miss out on gaining insight into this important topic and take your UX design or research practice to the next level. We look forward to seeing you there.
About our speakers – Emily Anderson:
Emily is a Senior Product Design at Birdie where she designs solutions within the social care space that enables older adults to age in their homes. Having worked amongst highly regulated, and emotionally charged industries, her passion is to raise awareness of the positive, and negative impacts products and services can have on the people experiencing them.
About Emily’s talk:
What people say, and what people do are often two very different things. As product teams, we regularly design for the ideal journey, but we often don’t design for the messy reality. Emily shares personal stories and reflections to highlight the importance of designing experiences that consider people’s behaviours, emotions and contexts. She’ll arm you with tips and tricks to help you think about “what could go wrong” in your future thinking
About our speakers – Mike Weir:
Mike has 10+ years using psychology, research, experimentation and design to help brands including Pepsi, HSBC, KPMG, Kerry Foods, Pretty Little Thing, SpecSavers and Auto Trader to improve their customer experience and generate more revenue.
About Mike’s Talk:
Mike’s talk provides an overview of behavioural science. We will delve into the different principles of the M.I.N.D.S.P.A.C.E model and understand how it can be used to build persuasive user interfaces.
Mike will provide hints on how best to implement psychology across your marketing.
