NUX Manchester – 22 May – Student UX Digital Showcase

Ready to sharpen your portfolio — or help shape someone else’s?

As UX professionals, we know how powerful a great portfolio can be. Whether you’re landing your first role or your next big promotion, how you tell your story matters. But where do you start — and how do you know what’s working?

This event is your chance to see how portfolios are reviewed in real time, learn what makes one stand out, and give back by supporting the next generation of UXers.

You’ll learn:

  • what hiring managers and recruiters really look for in portfolios

  • how to structure case studies that highlight your thinking and process

  • tips for showcasing your unique voice as a designer or researcher

This workshop is ideal for anyone who:

  • wants practical feedback on their portfolio (or to learn by giving it!)

  • enjoys mentoring and supporting early-career UXers

  • is curious about how to present their work more clearly and impactfully

How it works
This interactive session invites experienced UX professionals to review student and junior UX portfolios — offering feedback, encouragement, and insight. It’s a space to learn on both sides of the table.

Autotrader’s recruitment team will also be on hand to answer career questions and share tips on navigating the hiring process in today’s market.

You’ll also have time to chat, connect, and network with like-minded designers and researchers over drinks and food — with vegan and gluten-free options available. 🍕🍻
