NUX Newcastle – 28 March 2019 – How the world sees the web

NUX Newcastle meet-ups are kindly sponsored by Orange Bus.

The second NUX Newcastle of the year is on Thursday 28 March 2019. It is at Bamburgh House, Market Street East, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 6BH.

Doors will open at 6pm for food, drinks and networking. The event will start at 6:30.

How the world sees the web

Danielle Stone from JUMP will speak about inclusive design. As designers we often see things from our own cultural perspectives, making assumptions that others will interact with the digital environment in the same way that we do.

Taking the time to understand how our users around the world may use our products can help us avoid embarrassing mistakes, improve usability and ultimately build trust with our customers.

With tech companies leading the way, getting this right can also open up opportunities to engage with new audiences.

About Danielle

Danielle is lead user experience designer at JUMP. She promotes a creative digital landscape that is accessible to all.

Before switching to user experience, she worked for many years as a graphic designer. She has a degree in graphic design from Dundee University.
