GDPR: Data protection rights and wrongs

Does your website, app or service ask for and store people’s details?
Do you have a feedback form?
Or a mailing list?
Or do your users have an account full of information and preferences?

If you answered yes to any of these, you need to know about how the laws around data protection and privacy are changing. Say hello to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). GDPR comes into effect on 25 May 2018. It is 20 years since the Data Protection Act, and everything about how we use technology and the internet has changed.

Jason Turner will give an easy to understand overview of the regulations and all the important things people will have to consider and do. Matt Donnelly will talk about the effect of leaving the EU, consent, data rights and how to comply with the regulations.
