The next NUX Manchester event is on Monday 6th March in our regular home at the office of Rentalcars.com, 35 Fountain Street, just behind Primark in Manchester City Centre.

Join us from 6:45pm for food, drinks and networking. The talk will start at 7:15pm.

Not just another transport website. This is Manchester, we do things differently here.

Carolyn Warburton & Brian Austin

Carolyn from Valtech and Brian from TfGM will describe how the team applied design thinking to deliver the new beta.tfgm.com digital service.

Testing a backlog of hypotheses across all Greater Manchester’s 10 boroughs, we applied the insight to create beautiful creative routes and high fidelity designs. We will describe how you can make these UX and creative tasks visible, so the team know what work is being done.
We’ll also share how we include the whole team in the user research, how to engage developers with UX and design work and help the whole team learn what’s required to address user needs.

About Carolyn Warburton

Carolyn is a User Experience Architect with Valtech with nearly 30 years experience. She’s an interaction designer who wants to make software easier for everyone to use. She strives to get inside the heads of users to understand what motivates them, using research driven design thinking to help build great products. Passionate about UR and Lean UX, she is also a strong and vocal accessibility advocate.

About Brian Austin

Brian Austin heads up the digital team at Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). After a successful career in digital advertising working on brands including British Airways, Barclays and Marks and Spencer he moved to a broader digital role at TfGM.
