Agile UX: With an Agile Timelord and WAM

Happy 2017 everyone! It’s a new year and what better way to celebrate than with a brand-new, shiny NUX meet-up.

We’re back in the new and improved Campus North and can’t wait to kick off 2017 with not one but three speakers. Our guests this month will be telling you all about secret design sprints, dealing with difficult clients and the power of Agile UX.

Plus, the usual free beer, pizza and networking.

Secret Design Sprints

A small team of designers and researchers wanted to change the way their organisation worked. After reading up on the work of Jake Knapp and the Google Ventures team they decided they were going to implement design sprints. In a company full of processes, standards and unwritten rules, how would they do it? Stealthily of course.

Did it work? We’ll share what happened.

Jason (aka Agile Timelord) is a writer, speaker and founder of 20Summit. Passionate about startups, personal development and making the world a more interesting place, Jason approaches every task with creativity.

UX not optional

WAM share some of their experiences of the difficulties met when a client doesn’t understand this ‘extra’ thing called UX, why they need it, and why they should absolutely pay for it.

Project Managers by the loosest of definitions – Will and Tam (aka WAM) basically spend all day ensuring that people much more talented than themselves do what they do best, while trying to not argue too much with clients, plus the occasional game of pool.
